Hi all,
From my readings and general observations, it seems like a LLM is not highly-valued or necessary (from an employment perspective) especially in the UK. Is the situation likely to be the same as well in the Netherlands or continental Europe?
For those who has followed through the Dutch system, how would you describe the quality of the LLM education and style of teaching? Has anybody got some experiences to share? It seems to me in general the style in the Netherlands tends to be more interactive, more open and more communication and less emphasis on lectures and exams.
From where I came, the style and system of education is steeply rooted on the UK tradition, i.e. heavy emphasis on lectures, rote learning and exams, thus the flow of information during lectures is fairly one-way and in most instances not very stimulating or interesting.
Anyone care to share some insights or any comments will be appreciated?
Thanks!
