Hi!

I've studied at the Fribourg Law school (master of law). It is the best law school in Switzerland, not because it is bilingual (French German you can take all classes in both languages!) but also because it is very multicultural and open minded.Teaching staff is excellent, the facilites are good too. They will always take care that you have understood the material and will take time to answer all your questions, even by email late at night (I was really impressed by this)

The quality of life in Fribourg is also excellent ! Depends on what your looking for. Fribourg is a "student city", you can find a bit of everything : from good restaurant to nice clubs (we should study, not party ;). It's also a cute little city near the swiss Alps. You should come and visit the old town, you would never want to leave!

I can only recommand studying in Fribourg, I am personnally interested in the new LLM program.

The bilingualism sounds GREAT! But what about jobbing? Does anyone know anything about internships or job opportunities once graduated from Freiburg?

On their website I've search for their HR partner and it's the best legal recruitement/headhunter specialist in Switzerland. I reckon they will provide great opportunities for jobs and internships, especially since they have a partnership with the Fribourg program and no other program in Switzerland . They also have internships in top law firms in London, Shanghai and Washington (it says on their website).

Unless you enjoy paying money to people who refuse to accept responsibility for ANYTHING that goes wrong, who could not administer a dinner party (much less an LLM program) and who believe that they are doing you a favor by continuously changing course materials and locations, I would avoid this place like the plague.

Unless this might probably come from somebody who was or is frustrated somehow, I have had the chance to talk to some people enrolled into the program. They all seem unanimous on one point: it is worth the price. Not only that money should not matter, but the quality (and quantity) of professors and colleagues you come across during this period are undeniable solid networks for a lifetime.
As for the courses? Not only black-letter rules, but practical problems solving are part of the training. And for some who have not had the opportunity to write a scholarly paper, they are required to do so in their area of interest in the form of a thesis.
