Hi!
I got offers from Leiden university, the llm of advanced studies in international and european business law and Kent, LLM international commercial law.
I think Leiden is better, but I would like to study in a common law country. They are supposed to have a different approach to education.
Could anyone advise me please?
Thanks,
Kim

Hi Kim.
Why would you like to experience a common law education? What good exactly do you think comes from it?
I think both options are good. I myself have been in the UK for an LL.M. Perhaps the worst thing in the UK is the high number of students all sitting there in a cramped room. There you see more of a lecture than a true two-sided education. I am not saying it is bad at all. It all boils down to your preferences.
This year i am about to come to Leiden for LL.M. in PIL.
Overall however, i think the Leiden's reputation is way superior compared to that of the Kent.
Good luck with your choice Kim.

Thank for your reply!
I heard that the lectures are more interactive, certainly compared to the Belgian way of teaching. And I also figured that there is a different methodology that would influence the way of working with legal sources.
For now I put the decision on hold, depending on other offers.
Maybe I'll see you in Leiden then!

Hello Kim
I already got offer from Kent, LL.M Inter Commercial Law. I searched about Kent on the internet then I found that Canterbury is fine place for education and living. However, Leiden looks far more higher for its international reputation, so if I were you I will go to Leiden. I want to remind you about what exactly you want to study ; inter commercial or inter law. Although there are some similarity in these couses, I believe these two subjects have difference career route.
Good luck
