I have studied in Europa-Kolleg, that is very good place with great Professors and Staff. You can learn a lot of things in this institute, they are well prepared and with great reputation.

I have just been awarded an LLM title form EKH.
I would say that this programme is an excellent one. If you really want to be specialized in EU Law, and particularly in EU Company & Competition Law, be sure that you`ll be under a strict "control" of the best professors such as Prof.Dr. Peter Behrens and Dr. Terhechte.

Guys, as a German citizen I just want to mention that the Europa Kolleg itself is not the awarding body, but the University of Hamburg. And the University of Hamburg is - no doubt - a very good University. The Europa Kolleg is just an institute within the University. Go to Hamburg, you will have an awesome time there!
(besides: The Europa Institut in Saarbrücken is likewise excellent...arguably slightly more prestigeous within Germany as regards European Law)

I did the course in Europa Kolleg Hamburg. It's a nice city, but the LLM was terrible. Really badly organised, we didn't cover topics properly or in depth and in general it's terribly run.
Also Europa Kolleg is a really old building that is miles away from the main campus of the University and also the city. You really don't feel like you're part of the Hamburg University and it's obvious the people running the LLM have no interest in you as students.
My advice is sadly to totally avoid it, it's a waste of time.

I personally loved the course. I graduated this year and i can say that most of the professors are excellent and are well renowned in their field.
Though I am also of the opinion that the campus is oddly located but the best part is that the students have access to the library 24 hours.
