Most programs in continental Europe ar ein the respective national language, except for the Netherlands (and Belgium?), where programs are usually in English. If you do an LLM course in Germany you will normally need to be quite fluent in German. However, there are also some programs which are taught in Einglish like MIPLC in Munich and ILF uin Frankfurt (you can use the the advanced search to narrow your language option...),

There are a few LLMs in Germany which are in English but the content is quite limited. Im applying to Mannheim University which has a few English options, specifically the MCL programme which is a split between Germany and Adelaide, Australia - if that appeals to you. The Uni is great ! was there for 6 months in 2003 as part of an exchange program and the subject and faculty are both 1st class.
Good luck! xxx :D

Hi Cat,
I appreciate the information you gave about the University of Manheim, I am also considering studying there for the LLM in Business and Taxation Law, as my postgraduate diploma was in the field of Business law, but I understand they offer no scholarships or financial aid. Could you have an idea if funding aid could be found at the University?. I am presently in Heidelberg, doing research at the Max Planck Institute, and must confess, loved the cat on your website, though the website still under construction.
