Chinese applying for M2 in Panthéon Assas

ZHAJ81

Hi everybody,

I'm a young lawyer in Shanghai, China. Since quite interested in the french law and the european culture, I am planning to apply for a Master 2 in Panthéon Assas University for the year 2008-2009.

I understand that those degrees that I am interested will be the courses in French and I have commenced to improve my french in L'Alliance Française de Shanghai since the end of 2005.

Based on that I have obtained a LL. B degree in China (four years in a law school), my question is whether it is possible for me to directly apply for the M2 (Bac.+5) in Panthéon Assas? (I would like to study in the Business law or comparative law in Panthéon Assas) Hope that any of you could give me some information in this regard.

Thank you so much.

Regards

James

Yes, it's possible. Since foreign students from countries such as China are highly sought after, you have a very good chance of being admited.

You also have the option of doing a DSU for one year. It is designed for foreign students who want to do an M2 but do not yet have the language skills. You will sit in some M2 classes all the while having time to study the language. Good DSU students are easily admitted in the M2 of their choice.

I have received the Dossier de Candidature 2008-2009 which should be re-sent to Pantheon Assas with enclosures before end of this October.

A question is on the language skill, is the TEF acceptable for Pantheon Assas to evaluate a foreign student who wishes to study law in a course of M2? Or I am obliged to take a TCF etc.?
