Hi everyone,
I would be joining the U of C for LL.M. in Fall. I am from Asia am wondering about the quality of the program. I was accepted at U of Saskatchewan also but chose U of C instead. Would appreciate any insight into the quality of program, work load, campus life etc. Also, out of the two schools, which one is better? (Even though I realize that this question is quiet subjective)
Thanks
LL.M. U of Calgary

Hello mehvish,
Which university did you finally enrol in? USaskatchewan or UCalgary? Can you please give me some information on these two universities?

Rushdeep can you please help me in clearing a query that as far as Canada is concerned, which is more likely to get me a job-LLM or Paralegal Course?

Based on my extensive research and consultation with a lot of people including lawyers in Canada, my seniors from college, relatives, other contacts and miscellaneous people, Canada is not the right place to look for jobs right now because their economy is in a terrible state and they are NOT looking to hire foreign lawyers, paralegals and/or law clerks.

Your contacts are wrong about the Canadian economy. According to the IMF, Canada currently leads the G7 in economic growth, and according to the Conference Board of Canada, Alberta (the U of C's province) currently leads Canada in economic growth. However, your contacts are partially right about hiring. For a host of reasons, Canada is not, and has never been, particularly interested in hiring foreign lawyers.

Quite. If Canadians were interested in hiring foreign lawyers, they could find plenty of unemployed ones just across the border.
