I would be joining the U of C for LL.M. in Fall. I am from Asia am wondering about the quality of the program. I was accepted at U of Saskatchewan also but chose U of C instead. Would appreciate any insight into the quality of program, work load, campus life etc. Also, out of the two schools, which one is better? (Even though I realize that this question is quiet subjective)

According to the IMF, Canada currently leads the G7 in economic growth, and according to the Conference Board of Canada, Alberta (the U of C's province) currently leads Canada in economic growth. However, your contacts are partially right about hiring. For a host of reasons, Canada is not, and has never been, particularly interested in hiring foreign lawyers.
