Hi there!
I've been admitted to UCLA and i'm planning to sit for the NY bar exam.
Right now, I'm trying to figure out what courses i will select.
The uni offers 3 possibilities:
1) Pursue a specialization (which would be International Law in my case).
2) Take courses which are tested at the bar exam
3) or mix the last two options that is Specialization + Courses for the bar exam, which means that I'm required to take a certain amount of mandatory units for my specialization and the rest of my units would be used for the topics tested on the bar exam.
Do you thing the 3rd option is a reasonable one? is it a risky bet since I'm not using all my units for preparing the bar exam? Are law firms really interested in specialization when it comes to hire you?
Thank you for your precious help.

I just did LLM at UCLA. If you want to sit for NY bar, better not to choose UCLA. They are not really helpful. Last year only 1 Chinese passed the bar. If you are accepted to other Law School, choose other ones.
