Scholarships include four £20,000 awards for incoming postgraduates

Four scholarships are available to students of Russian birth who have been accepted at the University of Edinburgh on a full-time Master of Laws program, or any other of the university's postgraduate degree programs. Each scholarship will be worth £20,000, which will be used towards tuition fees, research costs, books, travel to and from Russia and general living costs.

These four scholarships are being offered as part of a five year commitment made by Scottish & Newcastle plc to fund up to 12 awards for Russian scholars.

Another scholarship will be awarded in 2007-2008 to a Russian citizen who has graduated from the State Institute of International Relations (University), Moscow. This award is available to applicants who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis to any Master of Laws (or other postgraduate Master's) program at the University of Edinburgh.

Applications are due May 1, 2007.
