Iranian lawyer and 2003 Nobel Peace Prize winner scheduled for September 7

Iranian lawyer and Nobel laureate will give a lecture at the University of San Diego Law School entitled "Iran Awakening: Human Rights, Women and Islam" on September 7, 2006. The event is co-sponsored by the University of San Diego School of Law and the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice. In 2003, Ebadi became the world's first Muslim woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize for her work to promote human rights and women's rights.
