International Commercial Law firm Thomas Cooper and Stibbard launches its International Shipping Law Internship at the City Law School. Professor Peter Kunzlik, Director of the City Law School and Pro-Vice-Chancellor of City University said, City Law School welcomes the opportunity to work with one of the most highly regarded of Londons commercial law firms. Dr. Alan Riley, Director of the LLM Programme said, the internship will give the winning student the opportunity to blend the knowledge that he or she develops on the shipping law courses of our International Commercial Law LLM Programme with high level practical experience gained from working in Thomas Cooper and Stibbards world renowned shipping law practice. Under the terms of the internship students taking the Marine Insurance, Admiralty and Carriage of Goods by Sea courses on the International Commercial Law LLM Programme will be invited to compete for the internship. The competition will be by essay and by interview. The Internship will take place from May to July inclusive. City Law School have agreed an automatic dissertation extension of two months for the winner of the internship.
Thomas Cooper and Stibbard were established in the City of London in 1825 and now have offices across the world including Athens, Singapore, Vancouver and Madrid. They are particularly known for their shipping, trade, banking, aviation and European law practice.
