I am applying to law school in 2007 and am a SC native. My husband and I plan to end up in Charleston, SC. So, I am considering Univ. of SC since there is certainly "the good old boy" system here. However, I have also been looking at Duke's JD/LLM program and am very interested in international law, but not 100% sure about what I'd like to practice. Any advice from others that knew they wanted to stay in their state? USC has a summer term in London and that might be a good option. I have heard that many times people are passed over for jobs in this state for a person with a degree from USC, even if their degree is from a more prestigious institution. Opinions please???
