LLB or LLM for non-law graduate?

Hi, I wanna ask for your advice on my situation. I am based in the US. I have a BA in Architecture and a Master of City Planning. I am about to finish my PhD in city planning. I realize that I seriously lack legal knowledge and want to build it up through a DL program. The degree I do should add significant value to my profile when I go on the job market and join the private sector or an international organization.

But I can't decide whether I should do LLB or LLM. LLB coursework lays very fundamental groundwork for a career in law and I would gain a great deal of general understanding about law.... On the other hand, LLM would give me an in-depth knowledge of specific area I focus on and lend more credibility to my resume.

I am looking at the University of London International Program. Your inputs would be much appreciated!!

I would do LLB. It's a longer program and more valuable for the employer. LLM is a specialized program based on your previously obtained legal knowledge. Since your background is not in law, I would do LLB. My friend is currently doing LLB at the University of London, since she didn't have any legal background and she just wants to get more knowledge and to study different laws.
