Georgetown Acceptances

Has anyone who applied "early action" received an acceptance letter from Georgetown's Tax LLM program for Fall 2006? If so, when did it come?

I applied "early action" and did receive my acceptance letter on 1/31 (dated 1/25). I did not have my fall grades requested. But don`t panic - my understanding is that a lot of people are being asked to provide their fall grades.

Thanks Todorova for the info and congratulations on your admission - way cool.

Are there any other tax LL.M applicants out there with notice from G-town?

Thanks. I probably won`t go there though, I am debating between UFL and NYU -hard decision to make:))

Have you applied to any other school or is GT your best pick?

And to answer your question, I think so. But I think there are bunch of people still waiting to hear back.

Good luck!

I was able to gleen a little info from other anxious applicants. Now, I just have to wait. No use in over obsessing on things I can't control.

I applied to NYU as well but have not heard back yet. Regardless, Georgetown is still my first choice because of its location. D.C. is where I want to be for reasons other then the program itself.

You are fortunate to have the choices facing you. What a great place to be! Whatever you decide will be killer. Good luck with it.

Hi, I applied early action as well and I received an e-mail confirming my admission to the Tax LLM on November 30th. I had sent my application materials in early November. I´m still waiting for some feedback by NYU (I applied for the International Tax LLM), which is my #1 option. Don´t worry about it, I guess int´l applicants receive their answers before domestic ones... Good luck!

Actually, even US JDs who applied "early action" are receiving decisions already. As a matter of fact, Georgetown had to issue decisions for the US JDs "early action" applicants by 1/31 - yet some of them had their fall grades requested, and others were waitlisted. As far as NYU, I did not expect myself to receive a decision so early since there have been suggestions that they wait until March-April.
I would suggest that if you are US JD "early action" applicant to any of those institutions, and you have not heard from them at all, just call them - they might need your fall grades and simply forgot to call you and request them.
