Hi..i have a small doubt --
if you have work experience before applying to an LLM program then apart from an academic reference (say from a pofessor) would you also have to get a reccomendation from your employer/ senior you have worked with.
I understand it may not be compulsory for all law schools (or is it mandatory??)..but is it preferable??
it would be a great help if some one can throw some light on this issue.

I guess it's not mandatory but you should include both the recommendation from your employer and from a professor, to show the law school you are applying to that you have outstanding experience and knowledge both at the academia and practice. Good luck!

Also, with a boss, you can ask to see the recommendation before it is submitted.

I think, a recommendation from your employer is a definitely a plus, as it gives the current achievement level of the candidate. Get as many good recommendation as you can. My boss gave me a very good recommendation and I think, it surely helped.
