Was anybody else besides me placed on the waiting list?
If so, do you know what are the chances of being finally admitted?

Hello,
Tot I saw u on another thread with admission? Anyways, I'm on the waitlist too. The woman in the mail didn't say anything about the chances, but I have a close pal in Columbia (JD) who did say that the chances really are slim. Since I'm depending on a scholarship, I guess Columbia has to fall off my spectrum (with regret)... But anything's possible. Did u get admitted elsewhere or is Col. ur 1st choice?

I have no reply from Columbia, too...
Does that mean I am rejected?
Or does anybody have already received a rejection by mail?

Hyugo,
Yes I have been admitted to other schools (Chicago, Nortwestern, Uppen, Virginia, Michigan and LSE). However, I am not that lucky since my situation is a bit more complicated. I am married and my husband will be doing an MBA. He has also been admitted to a few schools, including Columbia, which he considers his best option. Therefore, even if Chicago and Virginia are very appealing, my hunch is that I have to fight for Columbia (I might consider waiting until next year and reapply).
As it has been posted, I believe that getting off the wait list is hard, but I hope not impossible! I know of a Mexican guy who was admitted off the wait list in june!

U got admitted to LSE too!? That's nice. Sorry about havin to decide based on your significant other, but as the previous post said, why not go to Upenn? Getting of the waitlist depends on how high up/far down u are on it and the percentage who are shippin out elsewhere, u know.. best of everything sha...
