Dear all,
People going to QMUL for LL.M in Corporate and Commercial Laws please advise as to where the classes for the same will take place?
I believe QMUL has 2 campuses-Mile end and Lincoln's Inn Fields...
which are pretty far away from each other.
I really need to know where are the LL.M classes held for the purpose of applying for an appropriate accommodation.
Qmul-urgent query

Hi sippi18!
I would say it is Lincoln's Inn Fields. Their website pretty much confirms that: http://www.law.qmul.ac.uk/contact/
But that would be great if someone could just re-confirm that info.
I have yet to do the accomodation application too, what are the closest residences to Lincoln's Inn Fields: Mile End or Westfield Student Village?
Best wishes,
Matterhorn

Im not a QM alumni so cant really say for sure, but I hear theres a chance some classes be held at IALS, Senate House or other buildings of the University of London

hi,
i happen to be a qm alumnus, and i can confirm that llm classes are held at the ccls in lincoln's inn field. there may be the occasional module/class which may possibly, hypothetically, potentially be scheduled in mile end, but such a case would be exceptional!

Modules can be hold in Senate House, Russel Square, i.e Company Law was held there this year. And International Commercial Law was held in Barbican, there is also Queen Mary Campus there. I also had some classes in Mile End.
But Lincoln's Inn is not very far away from Mile End. Near 12 minutes on Tube.

I will be attending the LLM course at QMUL this year as well and I believe the classes will be held at Lincoln's Inn but applied for accommodation at the Mile End campus and was just wondering if it is safe..? Because I heard that the area has a high crime rate and being a girl, it may be difficult to travel alone, especially after dark. Is it true and should I be worried?

I'm a senior LL.B student at the Mile End Campus... You won't be doing much moving around Mile End side after dark because there just isn't that much happening in Mile End! :)
I would chalk up most of the hype about the crime-rate to this new-world islamaphobia. It's in the east, and very multi-ethnic, I'm sure that unless your a xenophobe that you won't feel uncomfortable. As a senior I've never had any crime trouble, or know anyone who has, while on the other hand I've been mugged in Holborn and Angel -- two places you would think are far "Safer" than Mile End.
You'll be fine! :)
