QM or Manchester

Becky

I got offers for LLM from QM and Manchester. Which university has a better law school? Your advice is highly appreciated!

Hi Becky,

As you are interested in Banking and Finance law, I would definitely say QM - they are very good at tax and commercial. But if you go to QM you can take the banking and finance modules offered by KCL and UCL (assuming you have been offered a place on the inter-collegiate LLM). I know Manchester is good for Economic Law, but if you were able to go to QM, I would say that would be the better option.

hi,

to be honest if u're interested in banking and finance the best choice would be either UCL or Kings.
Said that, in Manchester u would study both banking law and law of credit and security with Prof. Gerry McCormack who, according to me, is one of the best in the country. The main strenght of the school of law in mancs is int. business law, but there's also a stream in financial law that may suit u.

ciao for now
