PhD superviser

tinkerbell

Does anyone know what the ideal dates are for applying to a PhD at LSE (ie for entry in 2011, would sending in a research proposal by November 2010 be early enough)?

Furthermore, how many months in advance should potential supervisers be contacted (ie for 2011 end of year entry, would contact as of July 2010 suffice)?

What do you all advise? I am asking about LSE for I believe that when it comes to deadlines they appear to be the strictest of all due to admissions being conducted on a rolling basis. Surely, I would appreciate answers with respect to Oxbridge as well!

Thank-you in advance!
