Best way to qualify with a PhD in Law but no first degree in law?

edlecaire

Hello,

I am a French national about to finish a PhD in law (working on EC antitrust policy and the energy sector) from a good UK university, but without a first degree in law (first degree in economics and finance, with some experience in investment banking). I am looking for the fastest way to become a qualified lawyer, anywhere in Europe.
Uk requires two years of law school which is really not appealing.... maybe there is a way to work as in-house counsel and then qualify upon experience?

any idea on how to go about it?

thank you very much for your help,

Adrien
