Admission: Edinburgh/ SOAS

Hello.

I'm in the process of applying for an LL.M in human rights and am really interested in the programs offered at the University of Edinburgh and at SOAS.

These school require a minimum of 2: 1 degrees but I have what is the equivalent of a 2: 2 degree; however, I also have extensive work experience [3+ years] in public policy and legislative research as a legislative research assistant to Members of Parliament in India, and as an associate with a reputed New Delhi based law firm.

i've written to both schools and they say a 2:1 is necessary, but do I have a chance with my work-ex?

Thank you!
