LLM in Maritime Law

Cahl

I'm final year Indian law student pursuing B.A.LLB(Hons.). I've decided to pursue LLM in Maritime Law from a reputed foreign university. My top priority is to get at least 2 yrs work experience right after LLM. Then, I wish to return to India. Southampton University, Nottingham and Swansea are accepting applications until March/April 2018. I wanted to know which university has the best faculty and gives me best job prospects in UK.

Nottingham? Might have a LLM in Maritime Law but not many experts in the field! If you are looking for a vibrant place try Swansea- good links with sector and expert teaching:

I went to Swansea and I got a job, if that helps?

The teachers were really quite supportive at Swansea. I don't know about the other places, but we had really good employability officers. My personal tutor was also really good at helping me write my CV and Cover Letter. And she gave me really good advice on how to fill in applications. When I was there I noticed the lecturers had really good relationships with people in the shipping industry, and that helped my current employer trust me to take me on.

They really seemed to care about me and whether I got a job or not. Dr Iwobi was also very kind - I went to him for a lot of advice on how to get jobs. My personal tutor was very good and Prof Soyer's advice was always useful.

It's just my personal experience from Swansea but I hope that helps.
