LLM in Environmental Law and Energy Law or in Regulatory Law

Hi everybody!
I'm Vittoria, an Italian lawyer.
I would like to attend an LLM in Environtmental and Energy Law or in Regulatory Law. They both deal with my job and I'd like to specialize in one of those two subjects.
Could Anyone help me to find a good course, giving me some informations about LLM in
Netherlands?

Thank you very much
All the best
Vittoria

For the energy/environment specialization, you should definitely check out the Master of Laws in Energy and Climate Law from Groningen. You might also look at Utrecht's LLM in Public International Law, which offers a specialization in Environment and Law of the Sea - but that's probably a bit outside your interest area.

In terms of Regulatory Law - it depends on how focused you want to get. Amsterdam has a Competition and Regulation LLM but it's mainly geared towards these issues in the EU.

Thank you very much for the informations!
Do you know by chance if these masters include the possibility to do an internship in a company or in a Law firm?
Thank you

In general no, not in most LLMs. Check with the schools though, to see if this is a possibility. Most will have you do some kind of research/thesis.

Hi Vittoria, let me chip in here quickly, too. FU Berlin has a Master in Business, Competition and Regulatory Law, the last part consisting of Energy Regulation and Telecommunications Regulation. It does not, however, focus on environmental law.

Regarding LLMs in the Netherlands in general, I did mine at VU Amsterdam and it was an amazing experience, the Netherlands are one of the most exciting countries in Europe and the quality of the legal education is high.

Good luck!
