LLM Guidance

I`m a 3rd year law student in India and will soon be entering the 4th year of college. Everyone around seems to be planning of a post graduation of some sort after the BSL.LLB degree.
I have few questions regarding the LLM.
1) How essential is an LLM in getting a good job?
(I`m interested in a corporate job and am looking forward to specialize in the same. I know there have been lots of discussions and articles about the same, but the more I read the more confused I seem to get)

2) What are the job prospects in Indian firms for an LLM from abroad? (say like UK)

3) How good are the possibilities of landing up a job in country from where you get an LLM? (Again with reference to the UK and a probable LLM in International Business)

I hope some one guides me on these

Hello,

I have few questions regarding the LLM.
1) How essential is an LLM in getting a good job?

Essential? Not at all.

2) What are the job prospects in Indian firms for an LLM from abroad? (say like UK)

It depends, as the "career booster"-factor of an LLM from Cambridge is significantly higher than the one of an LLM in Business Law from XYZ Metropolitan University....

3) How good are the possibilities of landing up a job in country from where you get an LLM? (Again with reference to the UK and a probable LLM in International Business)

Once again, it depends on the LLM program (as well as the qualifications of the applicants) - some people will have excellent chances to land at an excellent position in the legal department in the corporate world, whereas other people's only chance of joining the corporate world will consist of frying burgers under the golden arches....
