The Canada-based Osgoode Hall Law School has announced the launch of a number of new entrance scholarships for international LL.M. students.
In total, 18 awards will be available per year. These include:
OsgoodePD International Entrance Award of Merit: Twelve will be awarded annually; each award is valued at $10,000. These will be awarded to incoming students who have at least two years of post-graduate professional legal experience and can demonstrate excellent academic potential.
OsgoodePD International Entrance Award of Excellence: Six of these will be awarded per year, and each is valued at $30,000. These will be awarded to incoming students who have at least five years of post-graduate professional legal experience and can demonstrate excellent academic potential.
Prospective students will have access to the application for these awards after submitting their LL.M. application fees. They will need to answer three questions, with a maximum of 500 words per response:
- Describe how your professional and academic background make you a strong candidate for the award(s) you are applying for?
- What academic and professional goals do you plan to achieve during and after the Professional LL.M.?
- How would receiving this award help you to achieve these goals?
An academic or professional reference will also be required.
