Fordham University will again be hosting its annual Summer Institute in New York City from July 9 to 27, 2012.
The program is designed as an introduction to the US legal system and US law for foreign-trained (non-US) lawyers. The tentative list of topics to be covered during the 2012 Summer Institute includes an Bankruptcy Law, Civil Litigation, Constitutional Law, Contract Law, Corporate Law, Criminal Law, Information Technology Law, Intellectual Property Law, International Arbitration, Mergers and Acquisitions, Product Liability Law, and Trial Practice.
There is one scholarship available for a Brazilian lawyer or law student.

Fordham will also be hosting again host a one-week "Recent Developments in U.S. Law" program from July 15-20, 2012.
The program features leading New York-based attorneys who will discuss developments in their fields of expertise. The program will also provide substantial networking opportunities among participants and with New York lawyers.
