Advice of Getting an LLM

Folks --

Please help. You know a lot more about this stuff than I do. I will shortly receive my JD from a top-50 American law school. Though the school is top 50, I'm having a hard time penetrating the East Coast job market. I'm on Law Review. I'm in the top 15 percent of my class. Basically, I was hoping that getting an LLM from Georgetown, NYU, American, whatever would help make things a little easier for me. Thoughts? I'm asking why should you get an LLM?

Also, can you guys tell me a bit abou the "best" programs. Does it work the same was as the general rankings?

if u want to be a lawyer, experience is the most important.
(except some one who suggests the LLM in taxation, which i think is worth trying)
However, if you want to be a prof or sth else like that, A LLM degree is better.
