I am an attorney practicing on the Caribbean island of Barbados. I was admitted to the Bar some 8 years ago and recently completed my LL.M. from the University of the West Indies (UWI) in Corporate and Commercial Law. My areas of speciality are anti-money laundering (AML) compliance and securities regulation. I am presently the Legal Counsel & Corporate Secretary to the Barbados Securities Commission (the entity that regulates the stock market here). Prior to my present job I was Senior AML Analyst with the local Anti-Money Laundering Authority.
