Hi all,
I am actually don't beleive I'm writing this, but I was addmitted to both HLS and YLS with Fulbright scholarship. To be honest, the decision is not mine but Fulbright's, so the questions are as follows:
1. Do you think I can influence on Fulbright's decision to which school they will send me? How?
2. What would you choose in my position? On the one hand, Yale's program sounds more attractive for me - I prefer the smaller program and their method of study. On the other hand, Harvard is much better located. My wife would have to look for a job and we want a richer social life. That may tip the scales in favor of HLS. Does anyone can tell about New-Heaven in that perspective? Please advise...
Thanks and good luck

Same question here. Yale (scholarship so that there is 20.000 dollar left to pay) vs. Harvard (full-ride scholarship so that there is nothing to pay)? Interests manly in in academics; judicial federalism, (comparative) administrative and constitutional law, law and economics.
Broader program of HLS vs. smaller one of YLS.

Both HLS and YLS have very good programs so your decision cannot really be based on academic criteria, unless there are particular resources that you want to work with, eg. a professor or a program.
Setting aside academic merit, to me everything boils down to reputation: Yale has more of a "wow factor" in law, whereas Harvard generally. And that only among your peers. Employers (except universities) still prefer Harvard. Bottom line, go to Harvard (plus bigger network) :)
