What's my chances?

StellaL

Hello everyone, I just start planning for applying LL.M. degree for 2017-2018 and I'm not sure about my chances.

I'm actually a 3L in a middle Tier 1 school (fluctuating between #20-30, I know, it's hard to describe), and by the way, I'm an international student. AS it follows, my grades are terrible (70%). I didn't get into the moot court team, or law review. I interned in state government last summer. I will try to catch up with my grades in the last semester, yet it won't be of any substantial value. And I really don't know my shots here if I want to get in a T14 for a new start. Does anyone here can help me with some assessment? Thank you guys so much for reading!

Give it a shot anyway. A good letter of motivation, resume and letters of recommendation can really enhance your application, even if you do not have the best grades on Earth I think. If you can convince them that you are clever and skilled, and that in the end your grades do not reflect who you are, I do not see why you would be rejected.

Thank you. Yet I think it will be a challenge to persuade law school.
