Wow do you need the full “cost of attendance”-amount on your bank account by May/June? I truly did not know that!!


Just to be clear, you don't necessarily need the full COA amount on your bank accounts if you have scholarships. It's more that you have to "account for" the cost of attendance by that time. 

For example, COA last year was 85k. You paid the $1k deposit by April 1, and the second $2k deposit by May. You have a $30k UCLA scholarship and a $20k Fulbright scholarship, then you need to have at least $32k on your bank accounts OR an approved loan of at least $32k. 

If you have any questions on your financial situation, I strongly suggest you reach out to the school you're committing to because... it's a lot of money.

I actually applied the very last day or so (31 January / 1 February, I can't recall)
