Tracking progress of NYU LLM application

Hi everyone,

Is there any way of tracking the progress of your application (whether certain materials have been received; whether your application is complete) when applying for an NYU LL.M.? I received an email upon submission of my online application, which acknowledged the receipt of my application by Graduate Admissions, and as an international applicant I used the LSAC service for my transcripts, and there is no outstanding documentation for me to submit. Would I be receiving an 'application complete' email sometime in the next few weeks, or is the acknowledgement email I received essentially the 'application complete' email?

I'd love to hear from people who have gone through the process already! Thank you in advance guys!

I am not applying for NYU, but just an advice: you can go back in the board and look for students whose were talking about admission process last year, that should give you some pieces of information ;)

Good luck for your application

I've just figured out that I should be expecting another email within the next couple of weeks - I think I got confused because I didn't have to send in any documentation via post, and all my information went through with my first submission, unlike a number of the posts I came across :)

Thanks, and good luck with your application too!

Hey,

I have applied to NYU using LSAC as well. About ten days after I submitted my online application (and got the "thank you for your submission" e-mail), I received another e-mail from NYU, saying:

"This email is to inform you that your application to NYU School of Law is complete and will be submitted to the Committee on Graduate Admissions for review. Should the Committee require any additional information, we will contact you at this email address..."

By the way, you can also check your LSAC account and see if your credentials have already been reported to NYU and if so, on what date.

Hope this helps!

Hey,

Thank you so much for the clarification! I definitely know now that I should be waiting for the second confirmation email. My LSAC credentials were requested by NYU a day after I submitted my online application, so it shouldn't be long now :)

Good luck with your application, and thanks again!

Hi!
Did you received the second email? I applied just on the deadline (Dec. 1) and the same day NYU requested mi LSAC report. LSAC delivered my Report on Dec. 2, but I haven´t received the second email of "complete application" until now.

Thanks!

I haven't received my second email either, but NYU also requested my LSAC report on the day my application was sent (which is the last component of a complete application), so I wouldn't worry too much :)

DGGC - how long did it take you to receive that email after all of your information was submitted. I did not use LSAC either. My last item (recommendation letter) was submitted electronically today.
