Hi !! My husband will attend New York University this fall and I will accompany him. I would like to know if any of you will go with their wife/ husband and what are they planning to do there. As far as I know the F2 visa status is very restrictive and that worries me a little bit so it would be great to exchange information and ideas.

My wife will be coming with me as well - although she will attend Parsons school of fashion a few blocks away. Given that there are so many schools in NY, you may want to consider taking a few courses somewhere as well!

You are right though, the F-2 Visa does appear to be quite restrictive. I would check the US Immigration website for more info on what you can and can't do with it.
