Both schools are top notch. Michigan is a world renowned research university and that may help with the international reputation of the program. However, Virginia has a much better alumni base in NY, which is important since thatâs the place where youâre likely to work if you choose to remain in the US. Virginia is also regarded as having better teachers, although the Michigan faculty is ranked a little higher academically.

Finally, Michigan is very liberal, while Virginia is very conservative. In that regard, itâs a matter of taste.

Virginia does offer a better quality of life. Virginia has beautiful girls and beautiful weather, whereas Michigan is perpetually grey has more snowfall than Canada.

You canât really go wrong either way!
