JD after LLM

llmjd

Hi all! I am currently accepted at NYU LLM.

I am seriously considering applying for JD after LLM.

However, I need some help with the application process.

To my knowledge, most students who apply for JD take a LSAT in June, and apply in Septermber to October 2013 with that LSAT score.

At that time, I would be in NYU, taking LLM classes. There would be no time for me to study LSAT now, since it's almost May.

Also, if I apply for JD in September, then there would be no changes in my CV except that the fact that I have been admitted to NYU. The recommendation letters, of course, would be from professors from my home country. Who would write me a recommedation letter? The professors in NYU just met me, and they wouldn't know anything about me.

What should I do? Do you thing it's better to apply next year?
(2014)

By that time, I would graduate from NYU LLM, and some kind professor at NYU might write me recommendation letters, and better LSAT score.

However, If I apply for JD in 2014, I have to wait for another year since the admission would be September in 2015!

What do you think about this?

Do you think I should just apply for this September, or wait for another year? I'm 26 so.. not young!

Please be kind and answer me:)

if i were you, i would wait for the following year. the LSAT needs preperation and as you mentioned, you will be able to obtain LoR from NYU faculties.

best of luck
