Imformation about the Transfer from LLM to JD in Vanderbilt

julycrab

Hello, everyone, I am admitted by Vanderbilt . I was also admitted by 2 other school. Since I want to pursue a JD degree, I prefer to choose a school which is more convenient for me to transfer from LLM to JD program. I heard that Vanderbilt's LLM students can transfer to JD program without taking LSAT. Do any of you know some details about the transfer and how many students transfer successfully each year? Thank you very much!

I'll suggest that you verify this before enrolling. I am not aware of Vanderbilt doing this, but I know of WUSTL, whee you could even qualify for a scholarship.
I was going to go the LLM route myself, and then transfer, but I just decided to study my butt off for the LSAT, and I got into a pretty good school.

Hi Julycrab

If you've got onto the LLM program at Vandy it is pretty easy to transfer onto the JD. Just get good grades in the Fall semester and build a good relationship with a couple of your professors as you need to get faculty references to support your transfer application.
