Do I stand a chance?

JN

I'm currently a second year student at a canadian school which no longer issues rankings. I doubt I would be in the top 10% if they did. My grades are not atrocious though.

I'm interested in the NYU general studies program. Do I stand a chance?

Hello ~

I used to ask the same question as you. I evenrtually learned that the only way to find out is to apply. The reason for this is that applications differ year to year and each application is determined on its individuality.

I therefore suggest you speak with a professor at your school. I'm sure they would be happy to have a look at your grades and CV and suggest some schools. Your law school should have afew professors who could assess your chances but I would stay with ones you know already - perhaps ones you have already "impressed" (hopefully!!!).

Good luck. You just really need to keep in mind that no mark is too low because its damn competetive and given you are in second year I hear some schools put more weight in later years - 3rd and 4th year.
