I am a 2L that will finish in December 2009. I want to get into a LLM - tax program. I go to a 3rd tier school, 3.0 gpa and ranked in the top third of my class. I know my grades need to improve. Should I apply for the part-time programs in hopes that I would get in? Just like everyone I want to get into a good school. Anyone with similar stats that got into a good school?

You have to take as many tax classes as possible to show your interest in the subject and then you will get into a full time program.

Thank you for replying. I already took 3 tax courses and plan to take 3 more. I am looking for any competitions I can participate in. Hopefully this will make me stand out.
