I know that Bistou got Stanford's admission letter in late March. However, there is still nothing for me from Stanford's IP program. I have called, but only connect to the answering machine.
As I am anxious to make my decision for NYU, I am eager to know my status on the Stanford application. Does anyone get any news(i.e. waitlist or rejection) from Stanford here?
Did Stanford send their rejections?

Hi,
If you're interested in the LLM in IP, I can tell you that I know somebody who already received a rejection email.
I received an email for a telephone interview, which I did yesterday.
They promised an answer at the beginning of next week.
I think that you should write them an email /call them, because you should have received an answer (unless you are somewhere between rejection and interviews, like a kind of waitinglist).
Anyway, good luck and keep us posted.

I'm not sure about the IP LLM, but for the corporate governance one, I received an admission email late March. Best advice would be to call them, I think.

I don't know if this helps you, but SPILS made phone calls to admitted students in mid-March. I would recommend you call or email. I have found them very nice and extremely friendly there (provided that it is the same admin that takes care of acceptance to both programs)

Pizzicatofunf.
I was indeed accepted to Stanford, but for the SPILS Program, and I understood the decisions regarding the LLM in Corporate & Governance had been taken, but no decision has been taken so far regarding the LLM in Science & Technology.

For your info, Stanford notified their decisions regarding the LLM Program in Science & Technology last Friday (at least to me).

So Bitsou, what was the decision? Did you get in?
Posted Apr 09, 2005 23:43
Hello Maverick,
No, but that confirms what the secretary had explained to me when I accepted my offer for the SPILS Program and it's quite logical in the end.
Apparently, you "either" enter the SPILS Program or the LLM, but don't get accepted to both.
As I had expressly stated in my application that my primary goal was the SPILS Program, subsidiarily the LLM, and that I was admitted and accepted the first one, they rejected my application for the second one (anyway, I don't know if I would have been accepted to the LLM Program).
My first choice being the SPILS Program, I'm happy to have been accepted to this one and not the other way round. But I look forward to getting to know the fellows with whom I will most probably share courses from the LLM Program.
Did you accept the SPILS offer in the end ?

Guys, thanks for your information.
I applied for Stanford's S&T program, not the c&g. It's really a relief to hear no admission has been granted yet.
However, I also did not get any notice about the phone interview or so. Maybe it's just like rey said, I was put on the waiting list or so. Hope I can make it to Stanford, for it's my top 1 school in my own rank. If not, I guess I will have to go to NYU.
I guess I will wait until 15th, and make a call by then if I still get no response.
Anyway, thanks again for your information, and wish to join those who have already been admitted to SLS.

Congrats Rey. Will you go there over Columbia then?

Congrat.
It's really exciting to know that rey got in. I think he will go to Stanford, for it's the top choice in the IP field.
Good for you rey!!!

Yes, I'll go to Stanford for sure.
Columbia was great but Stanford has just the program I was looking for.
Good luck to all.

After Stanford's LL.M in Science and Technology, is it possible for graduates to take NY bar exam?

Sure Helen, you just need to take a few courses that will be recognized for the NY bar exam. The Introduction course in August is one, as well as Copyright or Trademark (we will know more once we're there). You won't have any problem. Will you join us :) ?

Hi,
I was not thinking about taking the NY bar (I was more interested by an internship experience and then go back to my country).
Will U be in Stanford ?
Cheers

Hi, guys,
I just called Stanford and was notiified that, all the decisions for the LL.M. program specialised in S&T have been made earlier today, and will be mailed 3-4 hours later.
In addition, I have mentioned about the phone interview notice. The lady said that, the phone interview is not required, but most admitted students in recent years have been through that procedure. I, myself, have not been offered the chance, so I think my odds to get in may be small. If so, I will go Berkeley.
