Thanks, and congrats Hopefulcandidate!
I sent my application on October 1st, it went complete on December 11.
Just like Hopefulcandidate I was also surprised/upset by how much Cornell is emphasizing that we pay to secure our spot on the next class and provide them with proof that we can afford it, even before scholarships or any financial aid is awarded...
Good Luck!

Not sure I would use the word "impressed" stratochelo, I think the word "aggravated" is more suitable here :-/...
I submitted my application on September 23rd, it went complete on October 22nd.
Best of luck...

Any one rejecting their offers from Cornell in favour of the higher ranked T12 Law Schools?
If so , it proves my point that at the very least, the more qualified LL.M applicants are all opting for the T6 with Cornell as last resort.
I noticed from the threads that almost all those who applied to Cornell also applied to a fair number of the higher ranked T12.

Hi All,
just received my admission offer from Cornell!
As with some of you, they were quite rigorous with the proof of financial resources!
Best

Dragon - I'm starating to think that you're an internet troll. Are you actually on LLM-Guide for any other reason but calling people to reject their cornell offers?
Posted Feb 03, 2014 23:55
For Hopeful Candidate,
I was stating the obvious from my analysis of the threads.
Can you deny that those who applied to Cornell also applied to a host of the other T12 Law Schools? I think not.
Ask yourself this?
If you received offers of admission from Cambridge, Oxford, Stanford and Yale ( not to mention Harvard too ), would you reject all of them and go straight to Cornell? I think not.
If so, it beats me why ( if you did ) you apply to more Law Schools than just Cornell.
Why not just apply to Cornell then? Lack of confidence in oneself I suppose.
Did I call people to reject their Cornell offers? I did not. Please read my threads again. It is not written in the hieroglyphic script.
Tell me if you are going to CORNELL then. If not why?
May be I will see you there at Cornell ( if you decide to go to Cornell ).

Hi people, I have received te following email just today.
Have somebody else been waitlisted as well? Should I be worried?
"We have reviewed your application and after careful consideration, our Graduate Admissions Committee has placed your application on our waiting list for entry into the Cornell Law LL.M. program this August. Although we are unable to offer you admission at this time, we are hopeful that room will become available this summer.
In the meantime, please feel free to update your application in any way you deem appropriate. If you remain interested in joining our LL.M. program (should space become available), please forward to us within three weeks a letter or email to llmadmissions@cornell.edu so stating. If we do not receive such a communication, we will assume you have made other plans and will remove your name from our waiting list.
Thank you for your interest in Cornell Law."

I applied on the last day and it still says "Verifying materials for completion" - It was last updated over a fortnight ago and all the check boxes, except for the application fee box, are blank.
I applied through LSAC so I know that all my materials are ready and have been sent. Does anybody have any idea as to the timelines I need to expect?

Is anybody else still under shock given Cornell's high tuition?
I AM. The tuition fees are so high compared to any other law school. I received an offer of admission from Cornell , and of course Cornell is prestigious, Ivy League......But really the tuition fees are incredibly high, but I guess it is a good investment.

Hi all,
I am in my final year of an LLB degree at King's College London. I got a 64% (2.1) in my first year and 61% (2.1.) in my 2nd year and I applied to Cornell, UCLA and University of Pennsylvania. I have just 3 months work experience. Am also black, us universities are big on diversity. Do I stand a chance of getting into any of the three schools?

I applied for the LlM near the deadline with a paper based application. I notified in the application that i would be taking the toefl on february 22 which I did and received my score of 94.
Today I received the email that the application was received and the username to verify the status, when I verify it it notifies me that my documents are still being verified. What are my chances of admission?
I am from Puerto Rico
BA Criminology- Puerto Rico
Masters Criminal Justice- Puerto Rico 4.00 GPA
JD- Puerto Rico- 3.37 GPA Cum Laude
Certified Mediator
Approved Puerto Rico Bar Exam so I am a licensed attorney in Puerto Rico
