was following this conversation. Thought I should add my 2cents.

I am not too sure, one can say earth shattering grades or great work experience etc. makes an Applicant a great bet.

@ jsd: while i am all for freedom of speech, I do believe your comment was highly offensive, not racist but offensive.

I'm not here to debate about the vicious association between "being unable to speak correctly" and "dirhams". I do not care about what your meant.

Anyway, this thread is about "Columbia decisions". So let's focus on the initial topic.

Racism ? Can anything other than a blank sugary sweet 'thanks' with a smiley be said on a public forum without it being termed racist ? Anyone who says my comment is 'racist' is either undermining the meaning of racism or has certainly never encountered racism in life.

My comment to the gent (or lady) titled 'l&e' is an expression of my irritatation at posts that beat around the bush, are not coherent, have no point to make, and therefore of little or no value. If you think speaking out so is an offense, your legal skills can't be too high.

@jsd, was not beating about the bush.. I merely stated that there are reasons to believe CLS takes an "all round" view and there is no silver bullet in terms of high grades and extensive work experience....

That said. I agree with Dabk & MAB79 , switch to the core issue.

I sent an email to CLS, because I have a deadline in 4 weeks, and they answered immediatly that they could not expedite decisions right now.

That's quite a joke, because I have to issue a check from an American bank, and guarantee that I have sufficient fundings. Obviously, I can't do all this in a week... so I would need an answer from them earlier.

Got through CLS....Received Ms. Polo's Email coupla hours back....

I am from India.........my completion email was received on the 28th December.....I had DHLed it on the 4th of December..... (Although that factor has not got nothing to do with whether you receive decision earklier or later than me...the files are random....I looked around this thread and found some applicants who went complete later receive their decisions earlier....I also understand the same off this forum)...

No. I dont hve the spread between the HLS decisions and the CLS deadline...:) Mine is earlier....24th of March...

No luck with the "will consider later" either....The language is fairly clear...."We regret given our limited resources..."...
