Boston, Fordham...

raffy

I have just been admitted at Fordham and at Boston U. I don't know where to go, I feel so confused about the choice I have to do...

When I applied, my plan was clear: 1st Fordham ('cause it's in NYC, the place to be) and if I'm not admitted there: Boston U.
But now that I've ben admitted in both, I think that I have to give more consideration to the ranking, and the ranking shows: BU: 22, FU: 32. Should I go to Boston?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

RR LL.M.

One of my professors went to BU for his LL.M. studies and he only talks wonderful things about his experience in Boston. I know a lt of people think that the rankings only apply for the JD, but I think that at least indirectly it applies for the LL.M. too, since you´re going to be receiving classes from the same profs that teach students in the JD and your classmates (since it´s more difficult to get in to a higher ranked school) will have stronger credentials. Boston is an amazing city, I stayed for 3 months and was amazed by the vibrancy of the city itself. If I had to take that decision, I would definitely go to Boston University. The curriculum at BU is very diverse, they have specialized LL.M.´s in a lot of different areas of the Law. The only thing is that the building of the Law School its not that special, it´s not like other schools that have a beautiful campus and almost always the Law School is amazing. Hope this helps! Try to get in touch with someone in your country that has gone to BU for his/her LL.M.
