The L.L.M program at USC is not really "General", in it you can pick classes and an area of concentration that meet your needs thus making it a much more versatile and integral program than a specific L.L.M.
I say this with fundament because I'm a current L.L.M student at USC concentrating in I.P.
The IP Classes and I.P related classes at USC are numerous enough to fill your whole year curriculum and to gain outstanding expertise in this area of practice. Many people think that the fact that the program at USC is not specialized in a determined area makes it less competitive agains other specialized programs, which is absolutely wrong. In fact the general aspect of the program allows the student to choose its classes in a individually crafted way that fulfills each student's individual goals.
On my year at USC I've had I.P classes related to patents, entertainment and antitrust because these are subjects of interest for me and I wouldn't have been able to do so at a different school.
I with out any doubt or hesitation would recommend USC for an I.P program considering the expertise of the school and faculty as well as my own experience as a student.
