Dear all...UCL promissed me that I'll get their decision by tomorrow. Do they also notify me by Email upfront or will they sent me their response in writing by mail only? I ask because apparently post mail takes more than two weeks from the UK to Switzerland...

If I recall correctly, I was first notified by e-mail. I then received the official offer letter weeks later by post.

I first received an email from Jane Ha saying I'd been recommended for admission. Then I got the official offer letter from the admissions office. From my experience they tend to answer on time, so if they said tomorrow, Id really expect something tomorrow.

Great, thanks a lot!

On the other hand, I did NOT get informed of them making an offer of admission beforehand via e-mail, and had to instead wait for snail mail to arrive. So don't start panicking just yet, if tomorrow you don't get an e-mail from them.

Taking into account that not everybodys had the same experience with UCL, I would send them an email tomorrow if by the end of the day you still havent heard from them.

Ucl promised to inform me today and the lovely Jane Ha kept her word. Here I should point out that I was supposed to receive a decision by january but it got delayed by more than a month. Send them an e-mail, they always reply telling you the time frame in which to expect. Good luck !

My application with all the reference letters got completed by 19th feb. Am I way too late??
Posted Mar 05, 2010 17:31
My application was completed on 5 February. Yesterday (!) I got an acknowledgement email, saying that i will get a decision on 19 of April..
Well, thats quite a long time. Actually, I dont think you`re too late, but i think, that you will have to wait for a decision till May. Or did u receive an acknowledgement e-mail so far?

This is my first post in this website after being an observer for several months :)
I just got accepted to UCL and LSE...and now waiting for a few schools in the US
However, if I cannot get any financial aid to attend those in the US, I will surely go to UK.
Hope to see you there!

Hi All!
I received an e-mail from Jane approximately three weeks ago stating my official offer letter would be sent to me via regular post...just wondering how long it took from the time you received the e-mail to the time you received the official offer letter?
Hope to see some of you in London in September!

Hi Char. It really depends on where you are... I'm in Brazil... and the letter took more than a month to arrive... I was so anxious about it that I rang them and they sent me a fax copy of the letter which I used to accept the offer. Funny because the original offer letter and the acknowledgement letter arrived in Brazil almost at the same time.

Hi Beicon,
Thanks for your reply. It's been almost five weeks now and the letter is going to Switzerland, I suppose I could give them a call. Thanks for the help!
