UCL 2014/2015

I'm not sure. Maybe it depends on your programme/specialization and on others withdrawing their offers.

So my status changed today to "currently being processed" and changed overnight to a conditional offer so I guess I will be joining you guys next year. Cannot believe it!

Congratulations!! What is the condition of your offer? My IELTS overal is 7. L7,5; R7; W6; S7. Is it possible to get unconditional offer with this score?

My condition is a 3.3 GPA. I don't know as my first language is English so I do not know what the requirement is.

I got my conditional offer two weeks ago. The condition is the submission of proof of English proficiency. I have my IELTS score report with me now. My question is: does anyone know by what means am I supposed to submit my IELTS score report? Send an email with a scanned copy of the report or request the British Council to directly send a copy to UCL? (the former method, if acceptable, is of course more convenient)

Thanks :)))

Hey you should mail them your IELTS TRF. I did the same and my offer was updated accordingly.

@ raziya
UCL requires a minimum of 6.5 in all the modules and an overall band score of 7.5.
Check it out here: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/laws/prospective/llm/index.shtml?entry
You may request them for a waiver but I guess they will ask you to take the IELTS again. All the best:)

Hi, everyone!

My application to UCL was complete (with the two references) by march 24th.

Do you guys think it's too late?

I'm really nervous about it since UCL is the one I really want. I already got an offer from KCL, but they require a very expensive deposit to accept the offer and that's making me even more nervous.

I only decided to apply to universities in UK in mid-march, before that I was all about France, so that's why I was so late (but hopefully not too late).

Hello,

My application was only completed on 3 March and I received my unconditional offer from UCL about 2 1/2 weeks after that (which was just like 2 weeks ago). So, don't be disheartened by the fact that you just recently applied, there's still a chance! Mine wasn't really too long ago as well. But having said that, it's always good to have some backup plan! :)

That's nice to hear, the best I can do is just chill out about it and just wait, after all.

I already got an offer from KCL, but UCL is the one im really aiming to. My deadline to accept or not the KCL offer is 30th april, so that's making me nervous too.

Thank you so much and congrats on your offer! :)

Hey,

Can someone tell me what the typical offer for LLM has been this year? Does UCL ever make offers below 65%?

Hey,
I've only heard of 65% but it may depend on your grades, university & statement.

Also, can anyone suggest any private student halls? There are so many but the fact that reviews are almost non-existent complicates things! Any help would be much appreciated :)

Personally, I think for London you'd be better off in private accommodation, it will cost a bit more but I saw the halls at LSE and they were so tiny, they could barely fit 2 people in. There was a sink INSIDE the room. So, if UCL halls are anything like that, and I very much suspect they are, I think you should go for a private flat or something or call their accommodation office and ask them if there's a website where students post ads for roommates if they have a spare room in their private flat or something. Hope this helps = )

I've heard similar comments about university halls although it depends on the building you decide on I presume.
I was thinking of staying in private halls other than those provided by the universities, such as those owned by Pure or UNITE.. they seem like less hassle than searching for apartments and flat-mates from overseas.
Thank you for your advice :)

Hi,

I just finished my final thesis examination and received my final scores for my Bachelor's degree, and I'm currently in progress of completing my application for UCL LL.M. Waiting for my iBT certificate to arrive, and for my referees to approve :)

My question is, will it be too late if I finalize my application in 2 weeks? I am well aware that LL.M. in UCL is very competitive... Does anyone know whether there are still available seats for the program? Or is anyone's application still in progress as well? I'd be very much helped (and relieved) if someone would kindly provide me with an answer.

Thanks before, and congratulations for everyone already receiving their offers!
