Hi colleagues
just a general questions to all fellow students previously accepted by Cambridge (LLM or MCL): Cambridge sends out a 4 page conditional offer document describing general conditions. Furthermore they are stating that precise conditions of our own offer will be provided on our self-service web page.
Is a 110 TOEFL or 7,5 IELTS a general condition or only required if Cambridge asks for one of those results directly on the self-service web page.
I have 109 and more than 25 each and would be happy not to repeat the test again (only if they require it for sure as a standard condition).
Thanks to all and guess some of us will see each other soon

Hi Arndt,
I think it's a general condition. For all law courses, including the LL.M, the IELTS minimum overall score is 7.5 and TOEFL 110. I don't know whether 109 will be sufficient. I would write and ask them.

No one getting any offer today?

It is indeed a condition that applies to all LLMers who didn't have prior higher education in English, as specified by the website.
However, it is not impossible that with a 109 and 25 in every TOEFL section you might be granted a discretionary waiver, possibly after a phone interview.
Email Ms Wade and explain the situation to her, or call her (it's hard to reach her, but if you manage she's really kind and helpful).

Thanks for your response, it is a good idea to talk to Mrs. Wade.
I looked through the Cambridge booklet, on page 14 it is described that the offer letter will state if another English language must be taken to meet the 110/7,5 requirement.
Does anybody know from previous years when approximately the offer letters will be sent out to the applicants?
Thanks and all the best

Not necessarily very soon. I received mine in late May last year. At a certain point (again, not very soon) your condition(s) will appear on your Camsys account. Better to ask directly whether there are further conditions apart from the usual financial declaration and (for many) Engish language.

Nope, looks like we're going to hear from them at a much later stage. The offers seem to be far away from Asia as of now!

Yes definitely ! I hope its worth the wait.
I applied and got into KCL, UCL, Edinburgh, Brussels, QMUL, Durham. So its all a bit confusing right now. Since for obvious reasons my first choice will be Cambridge so that's all I'm waiting for. Otherwise, since I'm interested in IP my first choice (after a lot of consulatation from ex students) would be KCL for LLM in IP.
