Requirement of work experience?

Shanya

I have the following two questions:

1. Does LLM at LSE prefer admitting students with work experience?

2. What is the employment prospect in London/UK for an International student (Asian student) after LLM at LSE?

Thanks :)

Hi,

no there is no need to have work experience to be admitted.

In regards to your second question, it depends on what is your career goal/what job will you be looking for

So what does LSE want in an application?

I know of a friend who's a batch topper (to be gold medalist) was rejected for the LLM program.
Does it value high number of publications or involvement in extra-curricular over sole academic excellence?

As for the employment prospect, I wanted to know about scope of working in a MNC, corporation as well as chances of getting into law firms?

I have heard (and read) that Law firms consider where one has attained his/her LLB from and do not value LLM. How far does this hold true? Is even LLM from one of the Top UK universities not valued by Law Firms?
