Hello to all!
I'm applying for the Oxford MJur, and I'm having a lot of questions regarding the application.
And the graduate office is closed for the holidays... :)
As regards the written work, I have done a written work together with my EU law professor and another colleague. However, we have had separate research areas to cover and separate parts to write.
Do you think it is acceptable for me to send an extract from this joint piece of work, and emphasising the circumstances?
Regarding the CV, do you think it is necessary to enclose a photograph with a CV? And how about the lenght? It seems to me that it shouldn't be too long, but what is the right lenght?
Could somebody tell me a little bit more about the colleges, I have a strong recommendation for St Edmund Hall, but I wouldn't like to exclude the newer colleges as well? Pros and cons?
And of course, merry Christmas to you all!
Thanks in advance!

- i imagine it would be best to send a piece of work you authored alone
- photos are completely unnecessary
- CV should not be more than two sides
- St Edmund's Hall is not that nice a college at all. as a graduate by far the best two colleges to be at are new college and magdalen, they are also the closest to the law faculty. after those two i'd say maybe st johns, or university. i definitely think attending new college/magdalen would make a significant difference to my time at oxford. i would stay away from the modern colleges in general.

Hey
I have a question regarding dates of acceptance.
If I send my application before November 29, would that means that I will receive news on January 14, 2011 or should I have to wait until March 18, 2011?
Thanks,

I have a question regading the references.
I am applying by paper, because it is the condition for applying to the scholarship as well.
But one of my referees has sent its reference by e-mail, since it is mentioned as a possibility in the reference instruction form.
Do you think I should nevertheless enclose his reference in a sealed envelope with all the forms, other references and supporting documents, or just send the rest without his reference, for which he received a confirmation from Oxford?
And do you think it is mandatory to write in the application form to what other universities you have applied, because it seems to me that it would not look good to read cambridge on an oxford application form?
Thanks in advance! :)
