So we’ve had around 11 offers being reported here, I’d that the same for the years previous? Or is very very low this year?

Hi, I think more offers will come (plus the waiting list)
thanks Miki, just out of curiosity do you think not getting an offer today means it’s more likely than not to be a rejection come Monday? I thought offers may come over a couple of days. But now not so sure.A message from an alumni:
to those who have got offers: well done!
to those who did not get offers this time: do not be discouraged! Applying is a success in itself and these courses are insanely competitive; very often even really good candidates receive rejections. Try again next time using the experience from this application cycle!

thanks so much!! I guess there is a little bit hope for those of us still waiting :)

Do you think there is still a chance for those applying to MPhil?

Possibly! It's not over until it's over

Hi all! Australian applicant here (BCL). I got an email from Oxford just last night (Australian time, so about mid afternoon UK time) saying:
I am writing to let you know that we have now considered your application for the Bachelor of Civil Law starting in October 2023 and that we will shortly be sending you a Certificate of Offer which will detail the conditions which you will need to meet to become a student of the University. Our graduate admissions round is highly competitive, so please accept our warm congratulations on your achievement. We very much look forward to being able to welcome you to Oxford in due course.
I finished my undergraduate law degree before I applied - in terms of conditions, what could they be? I’m just getting nervous that something has gone wrong!

Relax, the conditions for you will most likely comprise of sending a hardcopy of transcripts (or having your uni officially send a soft copy).

That’s great to hear, what makes you say that?

Hey there! The conditions refer to a financial declaration and a criminal convictions check - at least, those are the conditions for the MSc in IHRL. Also, congrats!!!! Do not worry!

Hey everyone!I got an offer for the MJur program earlier today. I was too nervous to check this thread regularly, which is why I'm posting just now. I checked the website this morning and saw that the button was still there, so I guess it disappeared sometime before I got the offer. To be honest, I was rejected from Cambridge LLM, and I didn't think I had a chance at Oxford. But, as it turns out, I made it! For those of you still waiting, don't lose hope. And if things don't go as planned, just remember that there are so many factors at play that you can't control.Good luck to you all!

Hello, Thai folk. I’m from Thailand as well! No email for me. Honestly speaking, I’m preparing for the worst. I don’t think they will send more offers.
However, don’t lose hope. I’m rooting for you! There should be more Thai people being able to get into Oxford! Best of luck to you!!

Will they send out any offers during the weekend?
Posted Mar 18, 2023 08:47
Opened an account to say a few words. Received a BCL offer yesterday afternoon. My button never disappeared and still is here as of this morning. The button theory (whatever it may be) just doesn't hold any weight. For those planning to apply next year, please do not read too much into the magic button talk. It's utterly nonsensical and causes unnecessary panic. Scrolling through the chat these few days I've seen at least 5 different theories but none of them seem to be particularly true. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk haha

For those of you sad with the lack of an offer, don’t be.
I just got evidence that their admissions isn’t meritocratic at all, and is absolutely different from what they claim it to be. They are a bunch of lying b*stards. Just some people using the name of a very old and reputable institution to basically select whoever they want based on some b*llshit criteria, while lying to the whole world saying they are “selective” and whatnot.
Oxford is just like any other law school. I’m just deeply mad for having applied there. I thought they were different but in the end that was just me being naïve.
After all, lawyers lying shouldn’t surprise anyone, right? Shame on me for believing otherwise.

Don't be so mad, my friend. What evidence makes you that angry?
