I think it's still subject to changes along the way... you might want to have a look in a month or two from now.
Posted May 21, 2010 21:56
they even changed and added subjects the first day of class,,so dont panic,,its normal

Im still waiting on a reply. For conditional offers what do they usually want? Upper second class honours or Firsts? Thanks guys!

I am unsure whether the condition is different for offers made later in the admissions process, but I believe UCL requires upper second class honours, Of course, you should be able to find country-specific admissions standards somewhere on the UCL law department's website.

Anybody else off to UCL in September???
I have been accepted at UCL for the LLM in Public International Law. I am a 28 year old attorney from Zimbabwe, living and working in South Africa. Really looking forward to the course and to meet you all!

Beicon
Thanks , you too.
I must say you seem like a fun person so that's another downer of not picking UCL but perhaps we will meet in London indeed.Or perhaps I will bump into a Brazilain soccer fan here, who is going to LSE....

Even though UCL is in Bloomsbury, I've got friends going to KCL which is across the street from LSE. So its very likely well bump into each other in London.
Best of luck there!
PS: Thanks for the compliment.

Well, I'm betting on Brazil to win the World Cup, even if not strictly speaking a Brazilian soccer fan (note: you need to call it football, not soccer, here in England or people look at you strangely). Although I will cheer for NZ I don't hold out great hopes for them, as you might imagine....
... may see you at LSE! (time to start getting my brain back into gear after four months off work!)

Iam betting on Brazil too and I reckon it will be a Brazil v Spain final (and I have tickets to watch both in their group stages).
Secondly..you sound just like my British friend, going on about how I should call it football and people will look at me strangely if I say soccer.....maybe I like getting strange looks:).
lol..yeah, maybe see you at LSE

yep, deffo Brazil vs Spain (my husband and 5 year old say England vs Spain with different results).
of course, it's rugby that really counts. don't suppose they play rugby in Zambia?
As I've said to beicon previously, I'll be the worn out, nearly-40 mumsy looking one hiding at the back of the class.

Please, don't think so low of yourself!!! : )
And even though I'm Brazilian, I have to say my Portuguese genes are talking out loud and I'll probably cheer for Portugal!!!! Brazil already has five world cups, why not give at least one to our former empire? : )
Anyway, when it comes to football, I really like when the unthought-of happens... so I might as well cheer for New Zealand... : )

Legalien and Beicon, between the two of you, you make me wanna switch camps from LSE...but alas..too late.
I must say Legal, your hubby and son will be gravely disappointed as England are not going anywhere near the WC final. They have been "favourites" for years but nothing comes of it.
In Zambia, football is huge, not so rugby but here in South Africa, Rugby is mega huge and I am not a fan.
Beicon...as for your fomer colonial masters Portugal.....they also always underperfom on the big stage (as do teams like Netherlands and Argentina more recentley) and I reckon they need "The Special One" (Jose Mourinho) to whip them into shape:)

just to clarify - I will be at LSE! NZ plays Chile in the last friendly this evening... (last sidetracking email on this thread. and I completely agree re England's chances - as usual expectations here are high, and we'll be in national mourning when England gets knocked out in the semis...)

I have an unconditional offer from KCL and am waiting to hear back from UCL on whether I've met their condition. Given my goal of a career in international arbitration, I'm leaning more and more to KCL for the seriousness with which they take the Vis Moot, and the job prospects through participation in that moot. Last year KCL won best oralist, and placed 3rd the year before. Meanwhile, UCL seems not to engage in external moots very much at all, and they've removed their course in International Commercial Arbitration from their course list. I like the idea of going to UCL, but KCL seems to be winning out so far. Can someone take the other side and back up UCL so I can see the total picture?
